To tell the truth, i just played Monument Valley 1 and it was / is a beautiful game. The Second release looks more advanced, but also refined, but i would have to choose, i probably still would start with the first, original version, because it is the core experience, look here:
If the old version doesn’t work anymore on the latest hardware and / or if you want a more up-to-date and a bit fresher experience grab version 2 and enjoy beautiful graphics and sounds.

Is there such a thing as mindful computer and video gaming?
I think so.
Playing myself for +25 years and having previously collected +3000 games on consoles and computers, i encountered a lot of mindful games. Classic games like Populous, Sim City or even multiplayer titles like Bomberman, but also modern encounters like Tetris Effect or Monument Valley, or many other puzzle and tower defence games can be mindful.
Of course you could argue about violence in games and/or the sense of gaming on a screen at all, but other then most shooters out there, even games containing violence – like also books, movies or even paintings displaying violent scene – can be mindful after all and have a general positive effect.
This, by the way, is also what i would call mindfulness in this context – a game which relaxes or enjoys and somehow has a positive effect on you and/or your environment, those games i would like to present on mindful.game.blog – a list of games i would like to present also to our child and which i am able to send to parents which are asking me about gaming and what to presents to their kids.
So let’s start and thank you for reading this blog, i try to keep it short 🙂
Cheers,
Benjamin
